The Lead Senior Program Human Services Specialist will assist the Substance Abuse Coordinator, by providing guidance, support and direction to the Substance Abuse Licensure staff.  The team lead will have knowledge in professional regulatory and compliance within the Substance Abuse and Mental Health program rules and statues; Chapter 65D-30, F.A.C and Chapter 397, F.S.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assign cases to licensure staff for substance abuse providers applying for licensure with the Department.
  • Conduct complaint investigations, report the findings and complete corrective action plan follow up.
  • Monitor and maintain correspondence as they relate to complaints within the Department of Children and Families correspondence management system; DCFTracker.
  • Complete monthly support supervision meetings with licensure staff.
  • In conjunction with the Quality Assurance Specialist assist in providing training and guidance to licensure staff.
  • Complete any assigned identified program projects.
  • Update and maintain the internal resource bank as necessary.
  • Complete trend and analysis reports based on findings from the Southeast Region peer review report.
  • Provide ongoing support to licensure staff.
  • Function as the subject matter expert in PLADS (Provider Licensure and Designations System).
  • Review submitted inspection reports and corrective action plans prior to the Substance Abuse Coordinator’s approval to ensure quality and compliance with the licensure process.
  • Communicate with the Substance Abuse Coordinator regularly.
  • Travel between the Southeast Region is required.

Bachelor’s Degree preferred, Associate Degree with 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
