This position provides support to the unit supervisor and plays an important role in helping strengthen case accuracy, staff development, and overall program performance. Duties include reviewing cases, providing feedback, training and mentoring staff, assisting with complaints, processing complex cases, reviewing Quality Control and monitoring data, supporting fair hearing reviews, and participating in committees, workgroups, and community activities.
To qualify, applicants must currently be employed in an ESS I position or above and have at least 18 months of experience determining eligibility for public assistance programs, including Temporary Cash Assistance, Food Assistance, Medicaid, and Refugee Assistance. This includes processing applications or reviews from receipt to disposition.
Strong knowledge of Food Assistance and Medicaid policy and procedures is preferred. Current employees will be compensated in accordance with the DCF salary policy.
Important note: The selected candidate will need to travel to Marathon, FL twice a week.
